Qualification procedure

Over the course of the qualification procedure for the stationary studies, the candidates receive an amount of qualification points (PK) which is a criterion for the decision on qualifying to the studies.

The PKs for people who have taken their maturity exams in 2023, are granted based on the results of the maths, foreign language and one other selected test, in line with the weight coefficient (detailed information available at rules for admission to the studies). The number of PKs for studies at the Faculty of Mechatronics is established using the following formula:

PK = Pmat  + Pwyb ∙ W + 0,25 ∙ Pjo

where:

Pmat  – points in maths exam,

Pwyb – points from a selected third maturity exam subject, or calculated based on the average of qualification exams results, confirming professional qualifications at the level of a technician,

W – a weight coefficient for grades from selectable subject or the average of percentage scores from exams confirming the technician-level qualifications. In case of the Faculty of Mechatronics, it is W=1m,

Pjo – points from a foreign language exam.

In case a candidate took more than one selectable subjects exams, for the purpose of recruitment the committee will pick the subjects that yields most PKs. Should the selectable subject exam be taken at the basic level, the result of the exam during the calculation of the PKs is multiplied by 0.5. Max score during the process is 225 PKs.

The winners and finalists of selected contests (Entitlements of participants of contest, tournaments and scientific Olympiads.pdf), who have received their maturity diploma during the year when they are applying for admission to studies, will be accepted outside of the recruitment procedure.
