Project description:

The objective of the WUTscope-FPM project is to develop a microscope based on Fourier Ptychographic Microscopy (FPM), a technique enabling high-resolution biomedical imaging across a wide field of view. Utilizing programmable, multi-angle sample illumination, FPM provides exceptional image reconstruction precision, making it highly valuable in biomedical research, including microscopic-level biological analyses.

The project involves developing innovative, neural network-assisted ptychographic reconstruction algorithms, optimizing data acquisition processes, and validating the technology on real biological specimens—both fixed and live. The final outcome of the project will be the development of an FPM demonstrator designed for practical technology demonstration.
