The summer school programme includes issues related to climate change. What an evening it will be! What a night it will be! On 13 May, we would like to invite you to the Warsaw University of Technology.
The centre of events will be the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology, naturally. The Night of Museums is an opportunity to see this unique building after sunset, as well as to visit the Rector's Office or the Senate Room. The Large Hall will be filled with our scientific circles presenting their projects and scientific curiosities. History buffs and... music lovers will also find something for themselves. Our faculties will open their laboratories and workshop rooms. This is a real treat, as these are usually places reserved for research or classes with students. This time it will be possible to visit them and even take part in simple experiments.
Admission to our Night of Museums is free. The Night of Museums at the Warsaw University of Technology will last until 11 pm.
Dr. hab. eng. Maciej Trusiak, WUT prof., head of the project entitled "Bayesian inference in optical metrology" implemented under the PRELUDIUM BIS competition funded by the National Science Centre (NCN), announces a recruitment for a PhD student position. The funding for a winning PhD Student covers 48 months of doctoral studies at the Doctoral School of the Warsaw University of Technology, a research budget of 240,000 PLN, and a paid study visit for 6 months to the group of Prof. Balpreet Ahluwalia at The Arctic University of Norway in Tromso as part of the funds of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). Project will be realized in cooperation with prof. Vicente Micó group from University of Valencia, Spain.

The International Conference on Global Research and Education, Inter-Academia is the continuation of the thriving event series organized by the Inter-Academia community every autumn since 2002. Last Saturday, the Department of Mechatronics hosted a graduation ceremony for our 24 graduates. 12 masters and 12 engineers tossed their birettas in a gesture of joyful graduation, or a stage of study, at Warsaw University of Technology. The six promoters present proudly congratulated especially those of their students who had received a special award.

Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego invite to participate in the second edition of the 3W: Water, Hydrogen, Carbon competition, which aims to popularise among young people the 3W idea and knowledge about water, hydrogen and carbon - essential for life. The competition will select the best bachelor's, master's and engineering theses on innovative use of hydrogen, coal and water and on water management - in the context of challenges and opportunities facing Poland. The competition is aimed at authors of bachelor's, master's and engineering theses. Valuable prizes are up for grabs, with a cash prize of PLN 10 000 for first place winners.

The James Dyson Prize is an international design award that celebrates, encourages and inspires the next generation of designers. The competition is open to current and recent engineering students.
