On 8 June 2022, from 10:30 to 14:00 in the multimedia room of the SiMR Faculty, a meeting with representatives of companies operating in the railway industry will be held: Faiveley Transport Poland, Siemens Mobility and Transportation Poland. The presentation will include, among others, innovations and modern technical solutions used in the railway industry, market trends, examples of R&D&I activities in the railway industry and tips for those who want to work in the railway industry. It is with pleasure that we inform you about the 4th edition of the contest for the best diploma paper on agri-food sector, organised by BNP Paribas Bank Polska S.A. in cooperation with ASAP Association of Sustainable Agriculture. The organisers accept MA, BEng and BA papers defeneded in 2021 and 2022. The works should be written on the issues of the developent of agrobusiness, i.e. progress, innovation and activities bringing added value to the rural societies, health, natural environment, rural households, rural areas, agri-food industry and sustainable food production.

Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2022 is an international meeting of the women of science, business and technology. The ladies share their stories, scientific legacy and visions of technological future of the world. For a long time now the scientists have suspected this, but there has been no proof. Now we know it for sure - there is a super-massive black hole at the centre of the Milky Way. The proof is an image presented by the participants of the Event Horizon Telescope project. A graduate of our faculty, Maciej Wielgus, PhD, BEng of the Max Planck Institute for Radioastronomy in Bonn, has participated in this development.

It is our pleasure to announce another edition of the Contest of Mechatronics, Automatics and Robotics. The contest is designed for all students of beyond-elementary schools who enjoy solving technical problems, who can think out-of-the-box and who can rapidly learn. It is for the future students of Mechatronics and Automatics.

On 5 May 2022, recruitment of foreign candidates for English-language studies at Warsaw University of Technology began. The offer for October 2022 includes 29 programmes (12 for first-cycle studies and 17 for second-cycle studies) at 13 faculties. The Faculty of Mechatronics also offers studies in English.

On the occasion of the International Day of Light the Photonics Society of Poland and Polish Technological Platform on Photonics are organising – for the first time in Poland - the Photonics Job Fair!

The POLITYKA Weekly Foundation accepts applications from young researchers (up to the age of 35) to the 22nd edition of “Polityka” Scientific Awards until 8 June 2022. The jury will select 15 finalists in five areas: humanities, social sciences, mathematics, life sciences and technical. In 2022, top five will receive the Scientific Awards - scholarships amounting to 15 000 PLN and an interview in “Polityka”. The others will receive final prizes of 5 000 PLN.
