Easter 2024

The Feast of the Resurrection, and the days preceding it, are deeply imbued with the symbolism of sacrifice and rebirth, the triumph of Palm Sunday and the imminent manipulation of the mood of the crowd. It is a remembrance of betrayal, of denial, of the resolution of the Sanhedrin and the groaning of an entangled judge - independent of justice. It is a description of abandonment in suffering and the distraction of the declaratively closest.

But it is also a narrative, full of timeless hope, of the events of a Sunday morning eluding the rules of cognition by the senses.

The events we commemorate throughout our civilisation have become an inspiration for many works of art, which bear witness to the experiences of those who have gone before us. These works have many references to personal and social experiences in our national community as well.

May the festive season be a time for you to slow down your daily activities and an opportunity to gain physical strength, and may it bring joy and strengthen hope.
