Master of Engineering at Mechatronics!

Information for candidates for second degree studies at the Faculty of Mechatronics starting from the winter semester of the academic year 2023/2024.

  • In the winter semester of the academic year 2023/2024, recruitment will be carried out for full-time second-cycle (master's degree) studies in the following fields of study:

    • Automatics, Robotics and Industrial IT;
    • Mechatronics;
    • Biomedical Engineering

    In the first three courses, studies will be implemented according to the tutor system (without specialisation).

    On the other hand, at the Mechatronics study course, there will be a specialty: Mechatronics Devices and Systems. These studies will be carried out in English.

    Enrolment and registration of candidates

    In order for the WKR to start qualifying a candidate, it is necessary to register in the online system on the PW website.

    Online applications of candidates (www.zapisy.pw.edu.pl) for second degree programmes starting from the winter semester (01.10.2023) take place between 01.08.2023 and 28.08.2023.

    The enrolment fee is paid to an individual enrolment account number, different for each application. The account number is provided in the IKR communication after the registration procedure has been completed. In the body of the transfer, the applicant's number and name must be included. This bank account is for the payment of recruitment fees only.

    Payments should be made by the enrollment deadline in a way that ensures they are credited. Late payment may result in exclusion from the enrollment process. Payments made are non-refundable.

    Students who have not yet completed their bachelor's degree but intend to do so by 15.09.2023, should register and pay the enrollment fee.

    The consequences of entering incorrect data in the IKR will be borne by the candidate.

    Registrants who have completed their studies at other universities or who wish to continue their studies at WUT after a break are required to include a digital record of their photograph in the registration form. The photograph must be in colour and meet the requirements of an ID card photograph. (size 300x 375 pixels max. file size 250 kilobytes) The photo file must be uploaded to IKR by the last day of enrolment.

    Candidates for the degree programme submit the following documents directly to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Mechatronics, PW room 121 - no later than 15.09.2023 15:00:

    • a first degree diploma (or possibly a second degree diploma) with a supplement or a certificate indicating the date of graduation and a course card with the title of the defended diploma thesis. In the case of a diploma and supplement, the original must be submitted for inspection together with a copy of this document
    • an up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV), including education, employment and any professional experience
    • 1 recent photograph - signed on the back with your name and surname
    • proof of payment of the recruitment fee (if there is no record of payment at the IKR)
    • proof of identity for inspection.

    Candidates who do not possess a diploma will be required to sign a declaration that they must present their diploma by 29.10.2023.

    Candidates for full-time studies conducted in English who do not have a first-cycle diploma in English are required to document their knowledge of this language at a minimum B2 level by attaching a language certificate to the documentation provided.

    Graduates of the Faculty of Mechatronics of Warsaw University of Technology who wish to continue their second-cycle studies after having completed their first degree studies at the Faculty do not have to submit a diploma and supplement.

    Candidates who have not graduated by 28.08.2023 and plan to graduate by 15.09.2023 follow the same procedure as for those who have graduated. The only difference is the requirement to bring a certificate of the expected date of defence instead of a diploma or certificate of completion. The expected date of the defence should not be later than 15.09.2023. The document must be submitted by 15.09.2023 at the latest.

    We anticipate that the meeting of the Faculty Qualification Committee for the second degree programme will be held on: 18.09.2023 at 10:15 a.m., and the announcement of the list of persons qualified for studies: 19.09.2023.

    A candidate for a degree programme who is currently a student or graduate of a particular faculty, field of study, degree, profile and form of study at Warsaw University of Technology may not be admitted to the same degree, faculty, field of study, profile and form of study (art.156 § 1 pt.3 of the Code of Administrative Procedure).

    Applicants with a degree from outside the Polish higher education system shall submit their documents in accordance with the guidelines available on the PW website.
