"Wimpel" sailing club
The club promotes a broadly understood sailing culture. It is a quiet marina, which can be visited both between classes and every Friday evening. After all, there is no better rest than spending the evening among friendly people, with shanties in the backgroud.
"Wimpel" also offers opportunities for development in the field of bosman works, boating, theory and practice of sailing, first aid and even music!
The club regularly organizes:
- Great Masurian Cruise,
- Majówka under sails,
- Wimples Shanties Feasts,
- Games without power evenings,
- "Blood cell" blood donation actions,
- yacht sailor patent courses,
- yacht helmsman patent courses (since 2014),
- UKF training (since 2014),
- Baltic cruise (since 2013).
The "Mechanic" Club
The traditions of the Mechanic Club date back to the 1960s. Today, it is a state-of-the-art faculty student club not only at Warsaw University of Technology, but even in Warsaw itself. It is a perfectly prepared cultural "forge", and a daily meeting place for students of the Faculty of Mechatronics. A modern, intimate interior design, good sound system and modern lighting systems are undoubtedly advantages of this place. The Club hosts various student events.
Main areas of the club activity:
- organizing artistic events, concerts, music performances and theatre workshops, cabaret meetings, projections of feature and studio films, student etudes, etc.,
- organising meetings with the figures of the scientific, artistic and political world,
- organizing exhibitions and vernissages of paintings, graphics and photographs,
- organizing workshops, interest groups, supporting cultural initiatives of students and employees of the Faculty,
- co-organising faculty events: conferences, symposis, seminars and accompanying events, e.g. equipment exhibitions, programme presentations, etc.,
- supporting the Faculty's initiatives in the field of promotion within the academic circles and secondary schools,
- Organising parties, including commercial events (upon authorisation).
Any person with ideas will be welcome and can find a job in the Mechanic Club in different specialties.
