Looking for Post-doc

Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Mechatronics is conducting research under the Opus 23 grant entitled "A two-dimensional bio-platform for self-sustainable microbiome - 2DMICRONET", financed by the National Science Centre. The scientific goal of the project is to carry out fundamental investigations on MXene-based micro-domain networks, refining the scalable methods for their synthesis and engineering, and understand the microbiome co-operation within MXene-based 2D micro-domains. As part of the research tasks under the NCN project, the holder of post-doc position will be required to conduct scientific research, in particular, to create an advanced in-operando research approach using in situ Raman spectrometry with an exclusive workflow for the efficient validation of the MXene-based micro-domain networks as well as MXene preparation procedures.

DAAD scholarships for group travels to Germany - DEADLINE 1 May, 2024

The German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst - DAAD) invites you to take a look at its scholarship offer for group trips to Germany. Such a trip can last from 10-12 days and can be attended by 10-15 students together with an academic supervisor. The amount of funding is €50 per day of travel for each participant. Next submission deadline: 1 May 2024 for trips from 1 September onwards

„New Technologies for Women – Ukraine”

The Perspektywy Educational Foundation and Intel - as part of a long-standing collaboration to increase the participation of women in the new technologies industry - are launching the third edition of a scholarship programme for girls in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics). The scholarship programme "New Technologies for Women - Ukraine" is aimed at Ukrainian female students, PhD students and high school graduates (starting their technical studies in autumn 2024) who are in a difficult financial/living situation due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM)

Warsaw University of Technology has been granted trial access to the journal collection of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) publishing house. The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics is an international not-for-profit organisation with more than 13,000 members and nearly 500 academic, research and development units and government organisations. SIAM supports the development of applied mathematics and computer methodologies. Test access is active until 30 April 2024 for all users, from computers on the PW network and from any computer for users registered in the PW integrated library system.

Erasmus+

Recruitment for the Erasmus + program has been opened in USOS for the academic year 2024/25. The application period ends on March 29th 2024. Training offer of the ABW Centre for Terrorism Prevention

ABW has offered training for students who are completing their engineering/master's degree at the Warsaw University of Technology in the current academic year. The offer is divided into three training blocks. The training is free of charge. Participants will receive an appropriate certificate. Ethical AI

The Berlin University of Technology invites students of the partner universities of the ENHANCE consortium for an international summer course devoted to the ethical and cognitive aspects of AI functioning. The course is organised as a part of the Erasmus+ programme (Blended Intensive Programme). It is innovative, interdisciplinary and experimental in nature. The course is an answer to the challenges with the common use of chatbots like Replika, ChatGPT or apps monitoring our mental health (e.g. Happify). REGISTRATION OPEN TILL 10 MARCH, 2024. 

How can biotechnology contribute to convert carbon and make our world greener?

On 7 March, 2024 we will stage another event as a part of the „Polish-German Scientific Meetings” course. Toyota STUDENT EDITION Knowledge Academy

Toyota Knowledge Academy is a unique opportunity for students to listen to the experts from Toyota Material Handling, presenting some topics from: Transportation and Storage Processes Automatisation, Toyota Production System, Energy Solutions (hydrogen batteries). As a part of the event, we offer: access to practical knowledge gleaned from long-term business experience, an opportunity to ask the experts some questions, broadening your knowledge, receiving  recording of the event. 2024 Students Nobel Award

The application process for the next edition of the Students Nobel Award contest is open. Last two editions have brought the PW students several nominations and two main awards. The award is designed to promote the students with exceptional achievements in various fields: scientific, artistic and social. The awards include various items and coupons. This year, there are 9 categories: social activity, journalism and literature, physics and astronomy, medicine and pharmacy, economic sciences, environmental sciences, technical sciences and art. FPGA Hackathon 2024!

Join the FPGA Hackathon 2024 for an exciting and innovative experience at the 5th FPGA Hackathon organised by Nokia Kraków TC staff. What you need to join: a team of 2 or 3 people (team sign-ups only), programming skills with FPGA experience (even if only a little), technical skills in FPGA-related areas, your own computer, creativity, a sense of humour and an action-oriented attitude (get ready for an exciting 24 hours!). Registration opens on 4 March, get your team together and save the date: 20-21 April 2024.

Trial databases

PW Main Library received trial access to a collection of e-books on De Gruyter platform. Aside from De Gruyter publications, it contains titles published by other publishers, including Princeton University Press, Harvard University Press and Cornell University Press. All e-books are available without the DRM limitations. The trial access is active until 30 April 2024. More information available at the BG website in News. Library training course

The Library Training eCourse will be available for all faculties for students of 1st year between 24 February and 24 March, 2024. The course is carried out online via the Leon Platform of PW. Every participant must login on designated dates and do the course. For more information, visit BG PW. This course is mandatory for all students of: first year of 1st degree studies, first year of unified MEng studies and 2nd degree studies in case of students who have failed to get this course done at PW yet.

XXXII Fair of Work and Internship for IT technicians and Electronics students

You are most welcome to join us at the Fair of Work and Internship for IT technicians and Electronics students. This is an opportunity to meet employers offering internships, placements and employment with students looking for such offers. Erasmus+ Meeting

Students interested in Erasmus+ mobility are invited to an information meeting to be held on 22 February 2024 at 1.00 p.m. in Rektorska Building 4, hall 1.01. The aim of the meeting is to familiarise students with the opportunities of the Programme and to encourage them to take part in the recruitment for mobility in the academic year 2024/2025.

The Stena Circular Economy Award Contest
