Miniature ECG apparatus

It is much smaller than its hospital counterparts, yet in terms of quality it can boldly compete with them. It is a miniature ECG machine, created by a scientist from the Warsaw University of Technology and two doctors.

Mechatronics in the Polish Metrology Programme

2 955 000 PLN - this is exactly the amount of money earmarked for PW under the programme of the Ministry of Education and Science. The condition for receiving funding was a positive opinion from the President of the Central Office of Weights and Measures and confirmed cooperation in the implementation of scientific research and development work. As a result of the competition, it was awarded to four research and development projects from two of the faculties of Warsaw University of Technology: Electronics and Information Technology and Mechatronics.

Call for teams to participate in the coaching process is ongoing

Last call for proposals for funding postgraduate studies and courses and training is underway

The Education Support Department of the Warsaw University of Technology CZIiTT reminds you of the call for applications in the competition for the granting of funding for postgraduate studies, training or specialised courses for employees of the Warsaw University of Technology, which runs until 31 July 2022. This is the last chance to benefit from this kind of support under Task 25 "Modern university management" of the "NERW 2 PW. Science-Education-Development-Cooperation' project.

News for 2nd degree studies candidates for the winter of 2022/2023 academic year

The university will open recruitment for the following studies during the winter term:

  • Automatics, Robotics and Industrial IT (in line with the tutor system - no specialisation);
  • Mechatronics (in line with the tutor system - no specialisation);
  • Biomedical Engineering (in line with the tutor system - no specialisation);
  • Mechatronics – studies in English (recruitment for the citizens of Poland) (specialisation: Mechatronic Devices and Systems).

Falling Walls Lab international contest!

The participants entering the contest by 30 June 2022, will receive an invitation to an online training course on creating one’s image and delivering public speeches, as well as the book “Art of Promoting Science. Practical Guide for Scholars”, published by National Information Processing Institute - National Research Institute. Final deadline is 15 August, 2022.

Indexes gained!

03.06.22 was the day of the finale of the Mechatronics, Automatics and Robotics contest. There were 22 contenders from secondary schools. Out of them, ten were selected: 9 students of the Mechatronics Technical School in Warsaw and one student from the Stefan Żeromski High School in Jelenia Góra. Congratulations to the winners on gaining the indexes of our Faculty!

New awards for our Faculty!

The 2021/2022 academic year has been difficult due to the pandemic and then the war in Ukraine. It will probably go down in history as one of the most difficult ones for Polish universities. Today we can proudly say that they were up to the task. Therefore: Vivat Academia, vivant professores!

Droniada 25-30.06.2022 r. Katowice – Muchowiec Airport

On behalf of the Organisational Committee of the 9th Technological Contest Droniada we would like to invite all interested parties to observe the contest. The project is a part of the UN World Urban Forum, scheduled to take place in Poland for the first time in history. As a result, the finale of Droniada will take the form of a show under the slogan of  “City of Three Dimensions” on 29 June. The show will feature flying drones, enabling easier acceptance of these devices by society for multiple purposes, from environmental protection by means of AI-supported changes detection to drone transport.

Results of the Engineer 4 Science 2022 contest under the patronage of Polish Section of IEEE and GovTech Polska!

This year the jury of the Engineer 4 Science 2022 contest has honoured three representatives of our Faculty: Michał Kossakowski, BEng, Jakub Gawron, BEng and Michał Krzynówek, BEng. Train industry fueled with innovations

On 8 June 2022, from 10:30 to 14:00 in the multimedia room of the SiMR Faculty, a meeting with representatives of companies operating in the railway industry will be held: Faiveley Transport Poland, Siemens Mobility and Transportation Poland. The presentation will include, among others, innovations and modern technical solutions used in the railway industry, market trends, examples of R&D&I activities in the railway industry and tips for those who want to work in the railway industry. Contest for the best AGRO diploma paper

It is with pleasure that we inform you about the 4th edition of the contest for the best diploma paper on agri-food sector, organised by BNP Paribas Bank Polska S.A. in cooperation with ASAP Association of Sustainable Agriculture. The organisers accept MA, BEng and BA papers defeneded in 2021 and 2022. The works should be written on the issues of the developent of agrobusiness, i.e. progress, innovation and activities bringing added value to the rural societies, health, natural environment, rural households, rural areas, agri-food industry and sustainable food production.

First „photo” of a black hole at the centre of our galaxy

For a long time now the scientists have suspected this, but there has been no proof. Now we know it for sure - there is a super-massive black hole at the centre of the Milky Way. The proof is an image presented by the participants of the Event Horizon Telescope project. A graduate of our faculty, Maciej Wielgus, PhD, BEng of the Max Planck Institute for Radioastronomy in Bonn, has participated in this development.
