The Warsaw University of Technology Day

15 November, 2021, we celebrate the Warsaw University of Technology Day. On this day in 1915, the courses for the first time in the history of our University have take place in Polish only.

Golden Chalk 2021

There was a traditional annual plebiscite for the best teachers at PW, the students have awarded them the Golden Chalk awards. This year, the awards were granted in four categories: the best lecturer, the best teacher of classes, seminars or projects, the best English-speaking teacher and the “Golden Heart” most students-friendly teacher.

Additional library training date

The library course will be available: October 25 - November 5, 2021 (for all students who are studying in English). The training is mandatory for first-year students. It is available in electronic format.

November is a time of particular commemoration of the late ones. It is a time of more frequent visits to their graves and prayers for them. Through commemorating them, talking about them, we remember their lives, achievements and words, we in a sense bring them back. During the November commemorations, please remember about the late teachers, administration employees and other personnel, as well as the students of our Faculty.

Business Models E-training

We would like to invite you to the training, during which the lecturer will present types and elements of business models, with an emphasis on discussing the Canvas Model and case studies. The training will be conducted by Ireneusz Wolski, an expert in the field of building leadership positions, the art of presentation and persuasion, as well as communication and effectiveness. The event will be held online on 3.11.2021 (Wednesday), between 14:15 and 16:00.

Your virtues in team work

The ability to work in a team is one of the most important competences expected by employers. There are many opportunities to develop this competence already during your studies. Do it consciously, bearing in mind your strengths and weaknesses. A workshop organised by the Warsaw University of Technology Career Office will help you do that. We invite you to attend this workshop on 28.10.2021 (Thursday), between 12:15 and 16:00 in room 5.02 at the Innovation and Technology Transfer Management Centre of Warsaw University of Technology, 4 Rektorska Street.

Christmas Scholarship

We have started accepting applications for the 6th edition of the Christmas Scholarship - an award for committed students and doctoral students who actively promote the University and build its image. We are waiting for your presentations until 5 November, 16.00.

Payment for retaking study courses

The deadline for payments for retaking study courses during the winter term of 2021/2022 is 29.10.2021.

Initial training courses in Health and Safety during the 2021/2022 winter term

The Training Department, together with the Health and Safety Inspectorate, has prepared an offer of H&S training. Please be advised that suitable groups in MS Teams have been created for the students of Mechatronics Faculty of the first year of studies and the first semester of the second degree studies groups.

Erasmus + - additional recruitment

An opportunity occurred to start an additional recruitment for foreign trips under the Erasmus + programme in the academic year 2021/22, for the summer semester. The recruitment will be held between 19.10.2021 and 2.11.2021. All interested are asked to make sure by when the documents can be submitted at the target universities. 

Rules of business communication: direct, over phone and e-mail

The PW Career Office invites you to an e-training in „Rules of Business Communication: direct, over phone and e-mail” – a three-hours-long workshop that will allow the participants to learn the following:

  • how to increase your personal effectiveness, 
  • how to eliminate barriers in office work,
  • what are the effective methods of setting goals and their execution.

How to set goals for oneself?

Warsaw University of Technology Career Office invites you to an e-training course "How to set goals".  - a workshop lasting three hours, during which participants will learn how to increase their personal effectiveness, how to eliminate barriers in mental work, as well as what are the effective methods for setting goals and their consistent implementation.

Masterclass with NASA

Global experts from NASA, Harvard and Oxford Universities will take part in the online debate "Masterclass with NASA" on 21 October 2021. The main topic will be: "The future of man, economics and the universe". Free registration for the event is available for PW students, alumni and staff.

SEP competition for the best diploma papers

We encourage you to participate in the competition of the Polish Committee for Optoelectronics of the Polish Electricians Association (SEP). Financial and material prizes are funded by sponsors: universities, research and development units, research institutes, laboratories, foundations, companies and individuals.

Studies are not only about studying!!

There are over 150 student research groups at PW, including 8 at our Faculty. Engaging in the works of a group is a chance to create, implement and test your own ideas, participate in prestigious competitions and contests, as well as gain valuable experience and make friends.

The library training is executed online on the PW Educational Platform.

James Dyson Award won

Our student Mike Ryan, along with his fellow Edinburgh University student Aleksander Trakul, has won the Polish edition of the James Dyson Award! Congratulations not only on winning, but also on choosing the industry in which the students decided to compete.

Recruitment for the ATHENS Programme

On 25 September 2021, registration will open for the November session of the ATHENS Programme between 13-20 November 2021. The session will be held physically if the epidemiological situation allows it. In the event of an increase in the level of restrictions, the courses may be delivered online.
