Applications process has started for the Siemens Scholar Award, a contest organised by Siemens Polska in cooperation with Warsaw University of Technology. The total value of money rewards is over 100 000 PLN. Moreover, there is an opportunity to refurbish the laboratories of the universities the winners of the Siemens Scholar Award come from.

Dear students and PhD students, until 15th May you can apply for a place in dormitory via accommodation proces "Current students and PhD students" in which you can get a place in dormitory for the next academic year. In order to get it you need to complete the application form and submit your preferences as soon as possible, in the newly created system. Statista is one of the biggest platforms in the world containing statistics and market data, enabling access to over 1.5 mln statistics, prognosis, documents, reports and infographics, divided into 80 000 topics from over 22 500 sources. The platform is a database of market, consumer needs, public opinion reports and demographic trends. All data is readily available in different formats. The test access is active until May 12th, 2021 for users from the computers in the PW network and from any computer for users registered in the PW integrated library system.

This initiative is directed at all engineers who in the future would like to work in the space industry. This course is organised by the Industrial Development Agency S.A. in cooperation with Warsaw University of Technology.

Together with the Centre for Blood Donations and Blood Treatment, located at the Wołoska street, between April 26th and May 11th, 2021 we are gathering blood for those in need, the password is “Politechnika”.

The A Rh- i 0 Rh- are in a particularly short supply, but we encourage everyone to donate.

The registration takes place at CKiK by Wołoska street between 7:30 and 13:00.

We invite all graduates of Warsaw University of Technology of all studies connected with geospatial data and Geostudies and Teledetection, with a particular focus on the geoinformation data to take part in the IEEE contest. All papers graded with an A or a B by the supervisor and the revisor can be submitted to the contest. Please send the diploma papers till April 30th, 2021, 12:00, with all the other documents to: dziekan.studenci.gik@pw.edu.pl

The deadline for submitting Individual Study Plans for the second degree studies is coming soon (the end of the 7th week of the term). Please file all documents to the following address: tutorskie.mchtr@pw.edu.pl. The plan of courses at the second degree studies for the next two terms will be presented soon. The registration for courses, confirming the programmes filed in the ISP will take place the several last weeks of the term.

PW joins the Girls to the Universities of Technology recruitment action, organised by Perspektywy Educational Foundation. This year, we meet virtually under the Studies of the Future 2021 motto.

We invite all high school graduates (not only girls!), as well as teachers and educators to take part in the attractions.

The POLITYKA Weekly Foundation has started to accept applications of young scientists to the 21st edition of the POLITYKA Scientific Awards contest. The contest is dedicated to young scholars, up to 35 years of age. This action is to promote successful careers and achievements of young people of science in Poland. Two people will be awarded grants - those who during the last year or two have achieved a significant milestone in their lives, be it a PhD thesis, a postdoctoral dissertation, a book, a significant publication in a journal, a finalization of a research work or a start thereof, establishing a team or gaining a significant position in a scientific institution.

She has graduated from two faculties at PW and, in her own words, this was some of the best times in her life. Marta Tokarz, who graduate the Faculty of Mechatronics, now works at the Astronika space engineering company.

The PW Careers Office and Coca-Cola HBC Polska invite for a webinar, to be hosted by Paweł Nagórny, the Director of Production Facility in Radzymin. In particular, the invitation is extended to the students of automatics, mechanics and production engineering.
