Registration in the Library entitles the user to browse the Library System (both the Faculty Library and the Main Library with its branch libraries).

The registration can be completed personally in the Library or via the on-line activation  - this option is available for the students, scholars and teachers, whose data is entered, including the email address is entered into the USOSweb PW

In case of the PW students and postgraduates, the Library Card is their Electronic Students Card, which is activated upon registering to the PW Library. Other groups of people entitled to registering receive a library card issued by the Main Library of the South District Library (ul. Narbutta 86).

A library card / student’s card cannot be borrowed or made available to third parties.

An active library card enables one to the following actions:

  • browsing onsite and renting the collection of PW libraries
  • using the electronic collections of the Library on any device (upon login) and from computers at the University (without login)
  • ordering journals and books online in the library catalogue
  • managing one’s library account.
