On Tuesday, 1 October 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Lecture Hall of the Faculty of Mechatronics at the Warsaw University of Technology, the ceremonial Inauguration of the Academic Year 2024/2025 took place. The event was attended by a number of invited guests, including the university authorities, representatives of the self-government and students who are starting a new stage in their lives.
The guest of honour at the ceremony was the Vice-Chancellor for Development of the Warsaw University of Technology Prof. PhD Eng. Adam Woźniak
The inaugural lecture this year was given by Agnieszka Jastrzębska, ProfTit., PhD, BEng. on Mechatronics vs. Miniaturisation: Will We Change the World with Advanced Industry 5.0 Technologies?
The highlight of the inauguration, apart from the presentation of the PW Rector's awards, the PW Golden Diplomas and the Golden Chalk statuettes, was matriculation - a ceremony during which the newly admitted students were officially inducted into the university.
‘Dear student candidates, be proactive, solve problems, always see the glass half-full, acquire skills and maintain this attitude throughout your professional life and a day longer. Today's world belongs to people who are active and unafraid of challenges. In addition, in this age of rapidly developing technology, you are in the right place and time to actively participate in this process.’
Dean of the Faculty of Mechatronics
