In solidarity with Ukraine

Warsaw University of Technology expresses solidarity with Ukraine

The academic community of Warsaw University of Technology expresses its full solidarity with the Ukrainian people in this difficult moment for our neighbour. Nothing can justify the military aggression that Russia has carried out against Ukraine. In a Europe so afflicted by the drama of World War II, which claimed millions of victims, the behaviour of the Russian authorities raises justified concerns for the future of the whole continent.

We all wish to live in peace, and the only way to resolve conflicts should be through dialogue - this is the position that the authorities of Warsaw University of Technology, its staff and its students and doctoral students wish to express firmly and unambiguously. We hope that hostilities will cease as soon as possible, replaced by talks and respect for internationally recognised borders.

We realise that this is a difficult time for all of us. Therefore, Warsaw University of Technology provides psychological support for those members of our academic community who are filled with fear and anxiety by current events. We are also considering introducing tools that can help students, PhD students and employees of our University coming from Ukraine. If necessary, these will be launched so that they can continue their studies and work at Warsaw University of Technology.

A consultation point was established at the Center for International Cooperation, where you can get our help and support:
