Warsaw University of Technology launches a central collection of goods for assisting Ukraine

There is a central collection point in the Main Building of Warsaw University of Technology where we collect food with long expiry dates, cosmetics and chemicals, bandages, new blankets and sleeping bags (a detailed list below).

The items will be forwarded to the Mazovian branch of the Polish Red Cross, from where they will be distributed to those in need.

The PW collection point is located in the former bookstore by the Large Hall, on level 0 and is open all week, including weekends, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is staffed by the students and employees of Warsaw University of Technology.

Please note that we are collecting items from the list below:

  • food with long expiry dates: tinned food, oil, sugar, pasta, flour, groats, rice, tea, coffee, sweets, UHT milk, canned vegetables/fruits (e.g. beans, peas, corn, pineapple, peach), tomato puree in cartons, dried fruit, nuts,
  • cosmetics and chemicals: shower gels, shampoos, soaps, toothbrushes and toothpastes, creams, pads, children's nappies, washing-up liquids, washing-up liquids,
  • dressing materials, especially for wounds and burns: thermal blankets, sterile gauze, sterile compresses, knitted bands, elastic bandages, ampoules of saline, disinfectants, disposable gloves, sterile dressing slings, tourniquets, dressing scissors.
  • new blankets and sleeping bags.

Notice! We do not collect clothes.

We will also collect money which will go to the Central Bank of Ukraine. The funds will help to implement priority actions of our neighbours - link to the collection
