Project description:
MXene- transition metal carbides, nitrides or carbonitride could advance the round-the-clock photocatalysis idea by contributing with its unique excellent water dispersibility, rich surface chemistry, tunable band gap depending on surface functionalization, and high electrical conductivity.3,4 Also, the interest to CoFe2O4 arises due to its fundamental properties such as chemical stability, visible light absorption capacity, and low band gap energy of 2.04 eV.2 Therefore, the combination of MXene (e.g., Ti3C2Tx, Ti3CNTx) and CoFe2O4 could provide a better solution. Also, MXene/CoFe2O4 nanocomposites have not yet been synthesized via microwave-assisted hydrothermal synthesis.
