We would like to publish short information on the graduates’ careers as we believe this will enable us to broaden the community of Faculty of Mechatronics graduates and strengthen the ties between them.

The 4th Faculty of Technical Sciences Awards of the Polish Academy of Sciences are awarded annually for extraordinary papers (or series of papers) from the area of technical sciences represented by the 4th Faculty of Technical Sciences of Polish Academy of Sciences. This year, six winners have been elected, among them Sandra Lepak-Kuc, BEng, PhD. It is her second award for her doctoral thesis entitled “Technology of Manufacturing Electric Cables With Doped Fibres Made of Carbon Nanopipes”. The previous award was granted to Lepak-Kuc by Siemens. Congratulations!

ABB annually organises a contest for students, through which the young and talented engineers and scientists have an opportunity to present their knowledge, ideas and innovative solutions. The contest is open to the defended MA, BA and postgraduate theses, written in Polish and English. The papers submitted can be done by an individual or in cooperation with others. The following awards are to be granted: main award of 30 000 PLN and 2 distinctions, 15 000 PLN each.

The students of Warsaw University of Technology will be represented in the organisations managing the ENHANCE consortium.

Warsaw University of Technology students for the 11th time have awarded the best lecturers. WHo won the Golden Chalk at the Faculty of Mechatronics?

By the decision of Andrzej Duda, PhD, the President of Poland, from September 28th, 2020, Leszek Sałbut, BEng, PhD, DSc from the Institute of Micromechanics and Photonics (IMiF) has received the title of Professor Titular. We would like to congratulate and wish further successes in scientific activity and personal life.

On Friday, November 13th, 2020, the classes will be held according to the Wednesday schedule.

The Humanoid Student Research Group and the projects prepared by the students from Robotics Student Research Group, WUT Racing and MedBiz Innovations Program group have been ranked among TOP 10 of the projects evaluated as a part of the finale of the 10th edition of Polish StRuNa contest.

You may file applications for the second edition of the contests of Research Centres of Priority Research Areas (POBs in Polish). The contests are an area of activity of Warsaw University of Technology as a part of the “Perfection Initiative - Research University”.

The beginning of November is a time of reflections and pensiveness. When commemorating our family members, we would like to also remember about the Professors, Lecturers and Co-workers from our Faculty. About those who have passed away but remain alive in our memories.

The students who have failed to complete their library training course within the dates designated for their faculty, may complete it by October 30th. The students without the training course in the USOS system must register for it on their own.

Thanks to the cooperation between PW Careers Office and the Publisher of “Puls Biznesu” and PKN Orlen (Sponsor), the students and employees of our university have received complimentary access to the digital subscription of “Puls Biznesu”.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the payment for repeating courses in stationary studies is halved.

Centre for Projects Executing of Warsaw University of Technology is an organisational unit created to carry out tasks connected with managing, organising and supporting actions undertaken by the University organisational units in the process of acquiring, executing and settling scientific-research, research-development, investment and educational projects financed partially or wholly from external sources.

By the decision of Andrzej Duda, PhD, the President of Poland, from September 21th, 2020, Mateusz Turkowski, BENG, PhD, DSc from IMiIB has received the title of professor titular of technical-engineering sciences. We would like to congratulate Turkowski on this achievement and wish him further successes, both in professional and private life.

The Faculty of Mechatronics, the workplace of Sandra Lepak-Kuc, BEng, PhD, for many years has been the domain of men. However, the recent successes of talented Lepak-Kuc indicate that the times have changed. Her engagement in scientific work and the results achieved are a perfect testimony that the call “Girls to the Universities of Technology!” is very true indeed.
