POLITYKA Scientific Awards
The POLITYKA Weekly Foundation has started to accept applications of young scientists to the 21st edition of the POLITYKA Scientific Awards contest. The contest is dedicated to young scholars, up to 35 years of age. This action is to promote successful careers and achievements of young people of science in Poland. Two people will be awarded grants - those who during the last year or two have achieved a significant milestone in their lives, be it a PhD thesis, a postdoctoral dissertation, a book, a significant publication in a journal, a finalization of a research work or a start thereof, establishing a team or gaining a significant position in a scientific institution.

We announce the start of „The Best of The Best! 4.0” contest
The support programme for the development of extraordinary students has started. The participants of “The Best of The Best! 4.0” contest will receive subsidies, enabling them to participate in international contests, competitions and conferences. The funds assigned can be spent on travel costs, initial payments or purchasing materials and apparatus necessary to prepare a project.

EBEC Warsaw 2021 Engineering Contest
EBEC is one of the biggest engineering contests in Europe. Its goal is for the students to use the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies to solve practical problems. This is also an incredible opportunity to have fun with friends, as the competition takes place between teams of four people!
Nobel Prize for Students
The Nobel Prize for Students programme is a one-of-a-kind scholarship programme established by a students organisation. It is directed at the the most outstanding and ambitious students. The goals of the 2021 edition are to promote finalists with extraordinary achievements in various fields, both scientific and social ones, and to promote the development of science, literature and art, as well as to support the idea of voluntary services. It is a programme that at its core is designed to facilitate the development of passion and interest of young, promising artists, social service activists and scientists; it is also a further motivation to reach ever further, regardless of difficulties.

NCN OPUS 19 – PhD student position filled
Warsaw University of Technology Institute of Micromechanics and Photonics announced a call for PhD position within the NCN OPUS 19 Project: [PHAICELL] Coherent quantitative phase microscopy: revisiting the basics and proposing novel numerical reconstruction methods with applications for advanced label-free bio-imaging.
