The Center for International Cooperation invites WUT academic staff and students to an international ENHANCE „Learning environments for Alpha Generation” workshop on creating innovative learning environments tailored to the needs of the Alpha Generation. During the workshop, academic teachers, administrative staff and students will explore and discuss innovative approaches to creating effective learning environments tailored specifically for the unique needs of the Generation Alpha cohort. 

We are waiting for people who want to join the ranks of our doctoral students. Once all the formalities are completed, a beautiful research and teaching adventure awaits. And maybe even a great career? Recruitment continues until 14 August 2023.

On behalf of the Centre of International Cooperation of PW and the ENHANCE Consortium we invite you for the ENHANCE “Gender and Diversity in Science, Technology and Society" 2023 summer school, scheduled for 25-29 September, 2023 at the Berlin University of Technology. The Summer School enables one to get 3, 4 or 6 ECTS points. Over the course of the classes, the participants will gain knowledge and competences necessary to understand the mechanisms of creating gender and social  inequalities. They will also learn what intersection positioning is and how to counteract it. The registration ends on 28 June 2023.

Between 16-17 June, 2023, the Lublin Conference Centre was the site of the event commemorating 211 birthday of Antoni Norbert Patek - the founder of the most exclusive brand of watches - Patek Philippe. As a part of the meeting, Sergiusz Łuczak, Prof.Tit., has delivered a presentation entitled “Watches Cardiology - the Structure and Running of Contemporary Watches”. The best diploma papers prepared at the biggest and most important technical universities in Poland have been selected. Among the winners, there are 11 students from Warsaw University of Technology, including 2 from the Faculty of Mechatronics: Agata Biernacka, BEng and Kacper Kilianek, BEng. The full list of winners is available here. The Digital Horizon Conference, which took place on 15 June 2023, was directed at people looking for opportunities to develop and finance innovative digital solutions as a part of the EU Framework Programmes. Robert Sitnik, Prof.Tit., PhD, BEng as one of the panelists at the event, delivering his presentation “Digital Technologies for Cultural Heritage”.

The forum was a place for reflection on the influence of economy on environment  and climate, as well as on the green transformation. One of the panels on “AI and Robotics: Industrial Revolution and its influence on regional development” was attended by Janusz Cieszyński, the Minister of Digitization and Roman Szczewczyk, Prof.Tit, PhD, BEng from our Faculty. On behalf of the PW Centre for International Cooperation and the ENHANCE consortium that PW is a member of, we invite for workshop dedicated to the role and significance of AI in higher education. Recruitment for the 8th edition of the 'Energy for the Future' internship programme, aimed at students and graduates of technical universities interested in the energy sector, has begun. Twenty-eight participants will be shortlisted and each will receive a salary of PLN 4,500 per month. The deadline for applications is 30 June 2023. "Energy for the Future" is a unique, nationwide internship programme aimed at building a human resource base for the Polish energy sector. The internship is carried out in one of the four energy companies (6 months) and in the Ministry of Climate and Environment (2 months), giving participants the opportunity for comprehensive preparation.

Three new grants will be executed at Warsaw University of Technology. They are the result of the programme of the PRELUDIUM BIS 4 National Science Centre. This contest supports research projects undertaken by PhD students as a part of their work on PhD papers. During the 4th education of PRELUDIUM BIS, 248 applications have been filed in, 58 of them received grants. These funds can be used for scholarships, projects and PhD internships abroad. A research team consists of a promotor (the person applies for the financing and is the bread of the project) and a PhD student.  More information

As a part of the Programme for Development of Polish Transplantology and Patients Support initiative, in 2019 the Foundation has launched its “Science Grant of the DKMS Foundation”. It is devised for the young scientists who focus on hematological transplantology and cellular therapy.

We are pleased to announce the call for applications for the Poland My First Choice NAWA programme, which enables young people from developed countries to study at Polish universities with a scholarship. The programme offers the opportunity to undertake full-time, second-cycle studies with a monthly NAWA scholarship. In addition, the programme will make it possible to study for free at public universities. 

We invite doctoral students at Warsaw University of Technology to participate in the fifth edition of the City of Warsaw scholarship programme for doctoral students. Applications can be submitted until 10 July! Our idea is to cooperate with young scientists and promote the office as an interesting place for research. Since 2019, we have conducted four editions of the City of Warsaw scholarships for doctoral students. We received almost 150 applications and awarded 20 scholarships, each of up to PLN 30,000. Thanks to the programme, we have been able to work together on research projects in areas concerning the city.

The picnic is a series of attractions - everyone will find something for themselves. It will be a day full of fun, science and surprises. On June 3, 2023, you are invited to the BIS parking lot (at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, opposite the Main Building). Admission is free of charge. Our picnic will be enjoyed by people of all ages – children, adolescents, adults. Both outdoor fun lovers and science enthusiasts will find something for themselves. We have also prepared something for cinema fans – an outdoor film screening.

The Foundation for Polish Science has announced a list of the 100 most talented Polish scientists under 30. These are the winners and laureates of the competition in the START programme (competition 2023), in which the Foundation has been rewarding outstanding representatives of the young generation of researchers for more than 30 years. Annual scholarships for outstanding young scholars at the beginning of their scientific careers with documented achievements in their field of research were awarded to three people from our Faculty: doctoral students Mikołaj Rogalski and Michał Ziemczonok, and Angica Bulbul, PhD, BEng. Congratulations to all three!
