Social Skills Training at Warsaw University of Technology

The University Office for Social Responsibility invites students within the spectrum of autism to participate in on-site support group activities. Social Skills Training (Trening Umiejętności Społecznych – TUS ) – is a broadly used form of support for people experiencing difficulties  in relations, those willing to better understand their emotions and those of other people; those willing to develop the skills of effective participation in social life and those desiring to build their own value and strength to effect their will. Diploma awards ceremony - register today

On 25 November 2023 (Saturday) at 10:00 at the FAculty of Mechatronics we will organise a diploma awards ceremony for completion of the studies in the 2022/2023 academic year. If you would like to participate in the tossing of the birettae, please register under this link. Should the number of attendees exceed the hall capacity, we will organise two turns of the awards ceremony - at 10:00 and at 12:00. The split into groups will be done according to the alphabetical order of surnames. The invitation is open to all graduates who already have or will have defended their diploma paper between 02 January 2023 - 17 November 2023. See you at the Faculty!

To Poland for Science

The Polonium Foundation invites the employees and students of Warsaw University of Technology to the  Science: Polish Perspectives Meetup "To Poland for Science" conference, scheduled for 4 November, 2023 at the Palace of Staszic in Warsaw. The November Meetup is first event of this kind organised in Poland; its purpose is to present the degree of internationalisation of Polish scientific circles, as well as to create a space for foreign scientists working in Poland to meet and exchange their experiences. Nakręcona Nauka – learn to make popular science movies

Registration for the "Nakręcona Nauka" training course is open - a unique training created by scientists by scientists on creating popular science video content. This edition will for the first time take place at PW between 23-26 November 2023 at Rektorska 4 street. It will be preceded by 4 online meetings (6, 8, 13 and 15 November) to prepare the participants for the intensive onsite meeting. Owing to the sponsorship provided by IDUB, the participation of people from PW is free of charge (there is a limit of spots available). Registration is open until 20 November 2023. The Erasmus+ Accreditation is often coined the “entry ticket” to the programme or a type of permanent membership there. The World’s TOP 2% Scientists 2022 ranking, prepared by the Stanford University in cooperation with Elsevier Publishing House, includes 59 representatives of Warsaw University of Technology. Toastmasters Leaders is the largest Polish club to support the development of delivering public speeches and leadership skills. Hakaton

Science for Climate Change is a hackathon dedicated to the respect to environment and work for the benefit of climate. Together, we look for solutions that will significantly improve the condition of our environment. Come and design a solution connected with one of the following three areas: Energy, Smart City, Circular Economy. Deadline for registration 18 October 2023. First award is a spot in the PW Preincubation Programme, including an option of financing the project with up to 1 mln PLN. Second award is 6 months of free space in the coworking area on Rektorska 4 street. Others include Interrail Global Pass train tickets for a 2-months long train trip across Europe. The Creative Youth

We encourage you to take part in “The Creative Youth” project. It is coordinated by the POlish Foundation of Kids and Youth and financed by the city of Warsaw. The programme, with its goal of supporting initiatives and creative forms of activity, is addressed at students of Warsaw universities, as well as at young citizens of Warsaw. The students groups taking part in the project will have an opportunity to bring their social projects into life. As a part of the programme, up to 1650 PLN will be secured to enable the purchasing of wares and services necessary to implement the ideas. The innovative ideas may pertain to any sphere of life and be connected with the studies profile or interests of a given group. More
