VIII edition of the “Energy for Future” internship programme

Recruitment for the 8th edition of the 'Energy for the Future' internship programme, aimed at students and graduates of technical universities interested in the energy sector, has begun. Twenty-eight participants will be shortlisted and each will receive a salary of PLN 4,500 per month. The deadline for applications is 30 June 2023. "Energy for the Future" is a unique, nationwide internship programme aimed at building a human resource base for the Polish energy sector. The internship is carried out in one of the four energy companies (6 months) and in the Ministry of Climate and Environment (2 months), giving participants the opportunity for comprehensive preparation.

New projects for PhD students

Three new grants will be executed at Warsaw University of Technology. They are the result of the programme of the PRELUDIUM BIS 4 National Science Centre. This contest supports research projects undertaken by PhD students as a part of their work on PhD papers. During the 4th education of PRELUDIUM BIS, 248 applications have been filed in, 58 of them received grants. These funds can be used for scholarships, projects and PhD internships abroad. A research team consists of a promotor (the person applies for the financing and is the bread of the project) and a PhD student.  More information

Science Grant of the DKMS Foundation - 2023

As a part of the Programme for Development of Polish Transplantology and Patients Support initiative, in 2019 the Foundation has launched its “Science Grant of the DKMS Foundation”. It is devised for the young scientists who focus on hematological transplantology and cellular therapy.

Poland My First Choice NAWA – the call for applications is now open!

We are pleased to announce the call for applications for the Poland My First Choice NAWA programme, which enables young people from developed countries to study at Polish universities with a scholarship. The programme offers the opportunity to undertake full-time, second-cycle studies with a monthly NAWA scholarship. In addition, the programme will make it possible to study for free at public universities. 

Scholarship programme of the City of Warsaw

We invite doctoral students at Warsaw University of Technology to participate in the fifth edition of the City of Warsaw scholarship programme for doctoral students. Applications can be submitted until 10 July! Our idea is to cooperate with young scientists and promote the office as an interesting place for research. Since 2019, we have conducted four editions of the City of Warsaw scholarships for doctoral students. We received almost 150 applications and awarded 20 scholarships, each of up to PLN 30,000. Thanks to the programme, we have been able to work together on research projects in areas concerning the city.

Picnic of the Warsaw University of Technology

The picnic is a series of attractions - everyone will find something for themselves. It will be a day full of fun, science and surprises. On June 3, 2023, you are invited to the BIS parking lot (at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, opposite the Main Building). Admission is free of charge. Our picnic will be enjoyed by people of all ages – children, adolescents, adults. Both outdoor fun lovers and science enthusiasts will find something for themselves. We have also prepared something for cinema fans – an outdoor film screening.

Our laureates in the START Programme

The Foundation for Polish Science has announced a list of the 100 most talented Polish scientists under 30. These are the winners and laureates of the competition in the START programme (competition 2023), in which the Foundation has been rewarding outstanding representatives of the young generation of researchers for more than 30 years. Annual scholarships for outstanding young scholars at the beginning of their scientific careers with documented achievements in their field of research were awarded to three people from our Faculty: doctoral students Mikołaj Rogalski and Michał Ziemczonok, and Angica Bulbul, PhD, BEng. Congratulations to all three!

Grand Music in Small Hall

We would like to invite you on 25.05.2023 at 19:00 to the Small Hall in the Main Building of Warsaw University of Technology for a concert by the Academic Choir of Warsaw University of Technology.

The 125th concert in the Great Music in the Small Hall series will be held under the title "Sounds from the Vistula River". The Academic Choir will perform under the direction of its long-time conductor Dariusz Zimnicki.

A contest for rector’s grants in 2023 for students science groups

The PW students scientific groups can apply for grants as a part of the contest for rector’s grants by 31 May, 2023. The criteria for Application evaluation are as follows:

  • topic novelty, perspectives for development and interdisciplinary nature (30%);
  • evaluation of methodology and topic realization possibility (40%);
  • project effects (20%);
  • validity of planned expenses (10%).

Polish Chamber of Books questionnaire - on the use of scientific books

The Polish Book Chamber is conducting a nationwide survey to diagnose the ways in which academics and students use textbooks and scientific monographs.

We encourage you to fill in the anonymous questionnaire (which will take no more than 5 minutes) and express your opinion on the expected access to scientific sources necessary for research, teaching and education.

Registration to second edition of ENHANCE Students Against Climate Change 2023 summer school at PW - DEADLINE 2 June 2023

Warsaw University of Technology invites students to participate in the ENHANCE Students Against Climate Change 2023 international summer school. The summer school programme includes issues related to climate change. The Museums Night 2023

The Museums Night 2023

What an evening it will be! What a night it will be! On 13 May, we would like to invite you to the Warsaw University of Technology. 

The centre of events will be the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology, naturally. The Night of Museums is an opportunity to see this unique building after sunset, as well as to visit the Rector's Office or the Senate Room. The Large Hall will be filled with our scientific circles presenting their projects and scientific curiosities. History buffs and... music lovers will also find something for themselves. Our faculties will open their laboratories and workshop rooms. This is a real treat, as these are usually places reserved for research or classes with students. This time it will be possible to visit them and even take part in simple experiments.

Admission to our Night of Museums is free. The Night of Museums at the Warsaw University of Technology will last until 11 pm.

NCN PRELUDIUM BIS at MCHTR - get a PhD in photonics!

Dr. hab. eng. Maciej Trusiak, WUT prof., head of the project entitled "Bayesian inference in optical metrology" implemented under the PRELUDIUM BIS competition funded by the National Science Centre (NCN), announces a recruitment for a PhD student position. The funding for a winning PhD Student covers 48 months of doctoral studies at the Doctoral School of the Warsaw University of Technology, a research budget of 240,000 PLN, and a paid study visit for 6 months to the group of Prof. Balpreet Ahluwalia at The Arctic University of Norway in Tromso as part of the funds of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). Project will be realized in cooperation with prof. Vicente Micó group from University of Valencia, Spain.
