Chalmer’s Technical University (Sweden) invites students of the ENHANCE university for the second edition of the ENHANCE Summer School on Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Innovation (SEI). The SEI summer school offers a thorough introduction to the topics connected with sustainable development, entrepreneurship and innovations, and their interconnections.

The Centre for International Cooperation of the Warsaw University of Technology and the ENHANCE consortium, of which the Warsaw University of Technology is a member, invite you to take part in the competition "Welcome to my university" - The Social Media Challenge.The aim of the competition is to create an academic community among students of ENHANCE partner universities and to present the benefits of studying at particular universities. To take part in the competition, you need to prepare a short film about your university (20-40 seconds), encouraging students from other ENHANCE universities to study at our university.

Recruitment for the Erasmus + program has been opened in USOS for the academic year 2023/24. The application period ends on March 19th 2023. Details on the requirements can be found at erasmus.pw.edu.pl

Warsaw University of Technology has received trial access to the Cambridge University Press e-Textbook database. Access to full textbooks in nearly 30 disciplines will be active until 31 March 2023 for all users from computers in the PW network and from any computer for users registered in the PW Integrated Library System.

We have close a meeting summarising first months of operations of Local Project Units (Lokalne Oddziały Projektowe - LOP), established in 2022 as a part of modernizing the system of support for research projects preparations and execution. LOP Physics and LOP South are the units providing services connected to the administrative support for the employees of four PW faculties: Physics (LOP Physics), Mechatronics, Cars and Robotic Machines, as well as Mechanical Technological (LOP South). Both LOPs have been established as pilot units on the SOP concept, i.e. the Projects Servicing System (System Obsługi Projektów), which revolves around strong cooperation between the Centre for Projects Servicing and LOP.

TU Berlin offers a hybrid course on Critical Sustainability with 8 online meetings on Zoom from 18 April to 11 May on Tuesdays and Thursdays (14:00 to 16:00), followed by a summer school from 17 to 21 July on TU Berlin’s campus. More.

On 22 February, 2023, during the seating of the Faculty of Mechatronics Council, we have celebrated the jubilee of Grzegorz Pawlicki, Prof.Tit - the Faculty Dean between 1990-1996.

Gerard Cybulski, Prof.Tit - the current Dean - has read out the congratulations letter from the University Rector and Dean. These were also joined by the representatives of the Graduates and Friends of Faculty of Precise Mechanics / Mechatronics Group. There was also some time for memories and sampling of a birthday cake.

We are pleased to announce that one of our submitted projects has received funding under the Eureka competition - 2022 call. The EUREKA initiative aims to increase the modernity, productivity and competitiveness of European industry. It funds projects implemented by at least two partners from two different Member States. The projects must be aimed at developing and implementing or significantly improving an existing production technology, implementing a new product or service. The project entitled: 'Artificial intelligence-assisted, safe and environmentally friendly recycling of hard disks' will be realised by a consortium of: Warsaw University of Technology, Phoenix Surowce Sp. z o.o. and Łukasiewicz Research Network - Industrial Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP. Congratulations!

We invite you to a presentation of projects of teams of PhD students of PW. For a couple months the teams of nominees have been developing their projects as a part of the  MedTech-Athon – „Engineers for Medicine”. Their results will be presented during the Demo Day. We would like to invite you to a series of lectures to be delivered by Barry C. Barish, Prof.Tit. and Arthur B. McDonald, Prof.Tit., winners of the nobel Prize in physics. McDonald from the Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, has received his prize in 2015 for his groundbreaking work in the area of neutrinos physics. Barish, from the University of California, Riverside in the USA, was awarded the prize in 2017 for his key input in the historic discovery of gravitational waves.
